回:Walpurgis Night is the third studio album by GFriend. It was released on November 9, 2020. It comes up with 3 versions: My Way, My Room, and My Girls. This is the third and final installment of the '回' trilogy.[1]

Background and promotions[]

On the midnight of October 12, a pre-order notice was posted on various SNS accounts as well as the comeback date.[2] The official pre-order date was started on October 19, revealing the album details including 3 versions and their brand new logo.[3] It was reported on October 20 that a b-side track from the album will be performed at GFriend C:ON.[4]

Commercial performance[]

The album debuted at #3 in the weekly update of Gaon's Album Chart, dated November 8-14, 2020.[6] It later ranked 19th and sold 61,814 copies for the month of November.[7]

Trivia[]

  • The logo resembles a crown upright and resembles a collar and tie if turned upside down.
  • Music video was filmed for three days from October 15 until 17th.
  • Walpurgis Night is celebrated on the night of April 30, which when Time for the Moon Night was released in 2018.
  • The name Walpurgis Night is a reference to the day when people celebrate Saint Walpurga-an 8th century abbess who battled witchcraft.
