"Better Me" is the sixth track from GFriend's third studio album, 回:Walpurgis Night. It was released on November 9, 2020. It was performed by Sowon and Umji.

Background[]

It’s a song based on Sowon’s and Umji’s experiences that tries to tell a story of overcoming uncertain moments and finding your own color with a result of when it suits you, you'll bloom beautifully. It is a frank consolidation that wants to be conveyed to someone who might be intimidated somewhere. It is a latin-styled medium pop song centered on guitars and electric piano where you could feel the two members' different charms.[1][2]

"Better Me" debuted and peaked at #105 on Gaon Download Chart, dated November 8-14, 2020.[3]

Trivia[]

  • "Better Now" was one of the working title and can also be heard throughout the song. As the Korean word for "me" is 나 (na), there is a wordplay between the words; "Me" (나, na) and "Now" (나우, nau)
  • The song was performed on GFriend C:ON prior to the album's release.
