Description [ ] "Stairs in the North" is a pop ballad song that melts folk and 90's British rock style sounds, with "Hitman" Bang as the composer & lyricist, FRANTS as the arranger. With a 14-membered string performance and GFriend's natural and calm voices that are added, it gives off a richer & more emotional sound. The lyrics express how you can see the scenery that you couldn't while going up the stair breathlessly, but possible when you're going down the stairs. It conveys a warm comfort of being able to go up the stairs again through the energy generated when you were coming down.[ 1]
포크(Fork) 음악과 90년대 브리티시 록(British Rock) 스타일의 사운드를 녹여낸 팝 발라드(Pop Ballad) 장르의 곡으로, “hitman”bang이 작사, 작곡을 하고 FRANTS가 편곡을 맡았다. 14인조 스트링(String) 연주와 여자친구의 자연스럽고 담담한 보컬이 더해 져 더욱 풍부하고 감성적인 사운드를 느낄 수 있다. 숨차게 올라갈 때는 보지 못했던 풍경들을 내려가는 계단에서 보게 된다는 내용의 가사를 담았다. 내려갈 때 생기는 에너지를 통해 다시 올라갈 수 있음을 이야기하고 있어 따뜻한 위로를 전한다.[ 2]
