"Tarot Cards " is the fourth track from GFriend 's ninth mini-album, 回:Song of the Sirens
Description [ ] It is the song where Eunha, Yuju and Umji participated in writing the lyrics, it is a song about rather than agonizing and finding your directions, you prefer going on an easy road where answers are set. Just like a predetermined fate, it expresses a desire for someone to take over one's choices through the act of looking at a tarot card. Based on alternative rock, it is an appealing song with a peculiar gap between rock and dance genres, which combines string and synth instrumentals.[ 1]
은하와 유주, 엄지가 작사에 참여한 곡으로, 스스로 고민하고 방향을 찾기보다는 답이 정해진 쉬운 길로 가고 싶은 순간을 노래한다. 이미 정해져 있는 운명처럼 자신의 선택을 누군가 대신해 주었으면 하는 마음을 타로 카드(Tarot Cards)를 보는 행위로 표현했다. 얼터너티브 록(Alternative Rock)을 기반으로 스트링(String)과 신스(Synth)의 악기가 어우러진 록(Rock)과 댄스(Dance) 장르 사이에 묘한 간극이 매력적인 곡이다. 기존에 보여 주었던 청량하고 에너지 넘치는 사운드와 보컬을 그대로 유지하면서도 팝적인 요소가 가미되어 친숙함과 새로운 느낌을 동시에 받을 수 있다.[ 2]
