Jung Ye-rin (정예린) also known as Yerin (예린) is a South Korean singer. She debuted on 16 January 2015 as the lead dancer and a sub-vocalist of GFriend.
History[]
She was born in Seoul, South Korea and has one older brother born in 1986. She trained at Fantagio before going to Source Music. She attended the School of Performing Arts Seoul and graduated in February 2015.
On June 17, Yerin signed an exclusive contract with Sublime Artist Agency, making her the first member of GFriend to sign onto a new agency.[1]
Appearances[]
In addition, on June 5, she was confirmed for the variety show Secret Weapon, Her. The show features 10 girl group members who have already debuted, but haven't yet been discovered. It would air on MBC Every1 on June 19 6:00 PM.[2][3] She also competed on KBS2's "Dream Team" along with 4minute's Jihyun and former rhythmic gymnast Shin Soo-ji, in a dance off special. The producer, Jeon Jin-hak, stated that the contestants would be learning various dancing specials as well.[4][5]
2016:Variety Show Appereances[]
The next year on January 27, 2016, it was announced that SBS MTV's music show would return, with Super Junior-M's Zhoi Mi and Yerin as their new MC. As it returned for it's 5th season, Yerin and Teen Top's Chunji would be acting as Special MC's while permanent positions were decided.[6][7]
Later that year on August 3, it was revealed that Girls' Generation's Sunny, EXID's Solji, Yerin, Gugudan's Sejeong, Melody Day's Chahee, and LABOUM Solbin would be recording for a popular variety show that week. She would be a part of the lineup "Happy Together".[8]
2017:[]
To start off the year, on March 7, it was revealed that FIESTAR's Cao Lu asked GFRIEND's Yerin and rapper Kisum to collaborate in her new single. The collaboration song would be released on March 16.[9] Two days later, it was revealed the single would be titled "Spring Again".[10]
